We are proud to announce our FIRST annual workshop THIS SUNDAY on Basic Self Defense and T'ai Chi, taught by Allen Washington, Mr. Capital Pride Leather 2006. If you’re a lesbian, dyke, transman, transwoman, genderqueer or any combination of the above, you will NOT want to miss this. Please come on down to the DC Eagle THIS SUNDAY to get an Introduction to Self Defense and T'ai Chi!
Whether you’ve ever been in a fight or not, this is YOUR opportunity to learn in a safe space not only how to repel an attacker, but also how to use tai-chi principles to improve your balance, breathing, and posture.
Allen has been teaching and learning martial arts, including tae kwon-do and t'ai chi, for the last twenty years. He was nationally ranked in t'ai chi in 1999, and is also certified to judge t'ai chi competitions on the national level. A titleholder and leatherman, he is honored to get his first opportunity to teach at Sunday School. ( Read more... )
